This turned out to be one team constantly shooting themselves in the foot and the other team always make the other pay for their mistakes.

This was game two this weekend and it was a defensive battle from start to finish. Green Up would be the team to shoot themselves and thanks to a very stout defense West Carter always made them pay for it, by never giving up another big play, after the mistake.

The first quarter was one nice play after the other, with one of the bigger ones being at the 7:37 mark. Richard McGlone stopped Cade Warnock for a short loss.

Quarter number two was much like the first, only with much more action, mostly by both defenses.Just seven second into the quarter, Chase Hunt connected with Brecken Thompson for a thirty two yard gain.

Just sixteen seconds later,Cade Warnock would go left and pick up five tough yards. The drive that looked so promising ended a short time later, as the West Carter defense regrouped.

Peyton Brown would give the West Carter fans something to cheer about, when he picked up nine yards on what I like to call a power run, with 10:12 left in the half.

At the 9:03 mark Ethan Brown picked up six yards with a run to his right side.West Carter had slowly started to put together a nice little drive.
8:30 showed on the clock when,Brown connected with Dalton Thornsberry for a eight yard gain and another West Carter first down.

The Musketeers Cade Warnock stopped Brown for no gain with,7:58 left in half.

At the 6:47 mark of the quarter Bryce Adkins stuffed the West Carter ball carrier for a short loss, but a fifteen yard flag was thrown on Green Up to negate the would be nice pay.

A bad snap caused Brown to be sacked by Cody Tolliver for a seven yard loss. with 6:16 left in the half.

West Carter would go to the reverse to pick up a nice hunk of yards with,Dalton Whitt getting the carry, at the 5:37 mark of the quarter.

With 1:53 left in the half Jake Wright picked up sixteen yards as Green Up County looked to get a drive going. Just six seconds later, on a tip pass Bryan Parsons was able to get a pick for West Carter. Green Up again failed to capitalized on what looked like a promising drive.

With 1:34 left in the scoreless half Green Up got another nice play from its defense when,Jake Wright stopped Peyton Brown for a two yard loss.

West Carter who showed enough of a passing game to allow everyone know they can throw the ball, went to the air with 1:25 left in the half and it turned out to be a great call by the staff. The call resulted in a long gain by Dalton Whitt.

With 34.6 second showing on the clock West Carter went back to the air but this time the pass was tipped and picked by,Peyton Ailster.

The final stanza started with Jake Wright from Green Up deflecting a pass away from Thornsberry, with 11:19 showing on the clock.

Green Up, who's numbers were very hard to read, went to the ground at the 10:25 left but Hunter Richmond was ready for it and he attacked the ball carrier stopping him for a short loss.

Green Up opted to go to the air with, 10:25 left in the game and this tuned into a big gain when,Levi Cater took in the pass. Green up looked poised to end this scoreless contest as they looked to have gotten something gone.

The clock showed 8:41 when Wright took in a pass but was held to a three yard gain on a nice play by,Bryan Parsons.

Green Up had the ball back with 3:56 left in the contest when, Cade Warnock took off on a nice twenty two yard run as he went to his right side and used enough blocking to get the big gain.

3:42 was left in this one when,Jhrrell Jackson picked up three tough yards. The young man can move but all of his moved did not help him much on this play, as the West Cater defense played it as good as they could had.

West Carter got two final defensive plays to end this one.

The first came when Shelton Kouns knocked a pass away from the receiver with, a little over twenty seconds left.

The final play was another pass being tipped away by Malic Cline as he had the receiver covered tightly.
