Final from the championship game of the Paintsville Tiger Hoops Classic.Very surprising game. Alcoa slowed down the pace and completely shut down Seneca. Great tournament this year. Very well organized. Congrats to all of the teams. Can't wait until next year!
Congrats Alcoa.
Man this drives me crazy! The Tigers beat these guys and they had to sit and watch them win it. But, maybe now the Tigers will see how important defense is. Because that is the reason Alcoa was there. They gave up fewer points in the tourney. Congrats to Alcoa and congrats to the Tourney Board. You guys did a great job with another great tourney! Great Job Tigers and let's keep it going and rolling all the way through March!
Wow. Heard Alcoa school had just won the 2A state football championship a couple of weeks back and the bball team had several players from the football team---just they are just getting the bball rust off. Congrats----makes the way the Tigers played look better too-----but they do need to STEP IT UP on D!!!
Alcoa had the #8 ranked defensive end in the nation, but he decided not to play basketball this year to focus o football. He's 6'4 and hes a beast, imagine if he was there..Rae Sykes is his name. He's going to Tennessee to play football.
Congrats to Alcoa. And this only makes the Tigers look that much better! It should have been the Tigers in the finals, but despite their D weakness, it was the Russellville game that they let get away that cost them.

You took the words right out of my mouth! The tigers rely too much on their offensive game to get their wins. Granted, there are about 6-7 of them who can shoot the lights out on any given night, but they don't understand that there is more to the game than scoring. Sometimes they look like the expect the other team to shoot so they can get the ball back. This is NOT preschool guys! We DO NO SHARE! :dontthink Take the ball!
