Final.
Jags are rolling
slow start against a horrible team.
3 hour bus ride probly didn't help
Haters going to hate! Congrats to the Jags on their 4-0 start. First drive of the night looked good then some missed opportunities, 6 to 0 at half. 2nd half started with a mental error as well. Then the Jags put things into high gear, even with all 11 defenders in the box the o-line & full backs parted the way, the defense stood tall all night long! Oh yeah almost forgot the JAGS have a passing game coming together as well!! Now back home at the Jungle for Lincoln Co.
I bet Larkey, is doing hand stands with the way this team is putting things together. We sat on their side, we were late getting there and people around us were saying their team was not used to that type of physical 'smash mouth' football North plays. Glad to see those long passes Mcwhorter, was getting off and completing, not like they weren't attempting to stop it, they were. Looked really good! North's Defense houses a bunch of 'tough guys'. Ran the gambit last night got a little bit of everything a football game can entertain: good defense, pouring rain at times, for the mud bowl effect, good running game, good passing game, tuff lines both ways, good kicks. We left Maysville, Kentucky excited for North Laurel football, looking forward to the rest of the season. Keep it up JAGS!!
Congrats to North and the 4-0 start. Larkey has done an excellent job getting this program going the right way. You still have to wonder how good this team really is because of the lack of competition….Whitley Co and Letcher Cent. could test the Jags. If Montgomery Co can continue their play then they will definitely bring a good test.
Even with this schedule they had to go with after changing Districts. This team will learn something positive that can be applied to any opponent they play. They are not playing teams that just roll over and play dead. There has been a lot of good hits and successful plays pulled off in a game situation, that will do nothing but help that team down the road. North Laurel is a good solid team. I for one am happy to see them building some tradition there.
