Let me add a Florida perspective here ...

Playing golf at a Division II college down here is like playing at a D-1 school in many other states. The Sunshine State Conference programs are easily among the best in the United States and most can play competitively with some of the better D-1 programs. Heck, we have juco programs down here that can keep up with a lot of D-1 schools.
