Let's have some predictions on Phelps vs. Pike Central!!!:1:
I'll take Phelps in a close one
phelps and pike central this one should go to the wire it was 25-23 at the half with PCC on top
I have to say that this was one of the worst called, roughest, and flat out emotional ballgames I have ever seen! For one thing..... PCC was beating Charlie Hunt to death and not one thing and I mean NOTHING was being called! The poor kid was being pushed, kicked, his eyes poked and kicked in between the legs and NOTHING!! They were trying to hurt him! I was there to witness it and saw it first hand! All I know is you can't play 5 against 7 and win a game!! I have no idea even who the ref's were but they definatly need to open their eyes!! It was a hard fought game and WWAAYYYY too many technicals called! Phelps only lost by UH... 6 or 8 points... not sure which... Charlie made his 1000th point tonight and was NBA ranging it all night! Kudo's to him and Phelps for playing a very hard fought game!

Come on phs1986...You cry in football and you cry in basketball....does Phelps ever lose a game that they just aren't as good as their opponent!!! The game was at Phelps for crying out loud!!
Yep it sure was (at Phelps) and EXCUSE me I'm not crying!! Although if I were Charlie's parents I believe I would be contacting the KHSAA to find out what could be done with those ref's!! The kid had a MAJOR car accident is basically a walking miracle and they were trying to TAKE HIM OUT of the game! PERIOD!!! Call it what you want but they were beating him to death! Call it crying if you want but when you lose in a fair game, I have no problem with it... but lose with (from what I was just told~~~ Ref's from PCC area??) dirty playing I do have a prob with it! As for football... I would just about say that's what they were playing tonight... it sure was as rough as a f-ball game.... and just as dirty!!!!!
Well phs, I would like to set the record straight..... Your source has lead you wrong, the Ref's (Hall brothers) are the baseball coaches for Sheldon Clark & Johnson Central and the last time I did a mapquest on those areas, they were not in the PCC area.
The Hall boys are two of the best officials in the 15th but I will say that Hess and a couple of other Hawks are very dirty players and it doesn't surprise me that they took some cheap shots!!

this game is always a rough game but normaly its the other way around...i am from PC and i will say this cheap shots were probley thrown i was not at this game b/c i am at college...but i can guarantee PC was NOT the only team throwing cheap shots in this game...its always been a rough cheap shotting hard fought game and that is always expected in a PC Phelps game...Phelps will get their shot to beat PC b-4 district and this should just make them more hungry...Congrats to Charlie Hunt on his 1000th point this kid deserves every bit of the credit we give him plus more...good luck to Phelps on the rest of the seaosn...Congrats PC on the district win...5 peat is right around the corner make it happen
oo well all I can say is... Is was won heack of a game. We (Phelps) played our hearts out but PC came out with the victory. So great game.

I was at the game. It was the sloppiest and most one on one game i have ever seen by either team. The refs calls were not great for either team. When both teams realize that it takes 5 players to be successful, you could see one or both at the Expo.

Everyone bitches and moans when officials call games too closely and now I hear whining that this game got too rough.
That's what's wrong with 15th region teams when they play outside the region, officials allow more physical play.
15th Region teams are traditionally SOFT.
Glad to see Charlie Hunt back on the court.
BUT, I saw an earlier post saying he just came back from injury and the officials didn't protect him and let him him get fouled too much.
Quit the excuses....If he's still injured from the accident then he does not need to be back playing yet, If he's been released by the doctor to play then he deserves no special treatment or protection from the officials.

IF your so glad to see him back you should have had your tail there to witness the "fouled too much" status of the game...... don't critize unless your there to see for yourself!!!! AND... if you were there then you can't see very well!!!! No one said that the officals should have protected him either... IMO... he needs to get right back in there and push and shove and kick and poke and try to de-nut some of the CARELESS players like he was done and see if he gets called for fouls!!! I agree if he was released to play then he deserves no special treatment BUT he does deserve the same amount of respect that other players get.... AGREED???????
not to start an argument PHS but i watched the game tape and it looked as to me after watching the game around 4 or 5 times it was coming from both ends...more obvious by the central players most definatley...but one part of the game in any sport is you will take cheap shot and give cheap shots thats why they are called contact sports...i think both teams just lost composure of the game and just got caught up in the thick of things...one thing that suprised me was when the Phelps player recived a technical for shoving i think it was either hess or varney in the back as he was getting ready to shot a free throw and then the central player retaliated...
I've already been given the 411 on WHY the game was called the way it was... I WILL NOT put in on here because of the rules and regulations BUT I will say.... don't take out on kids what you have against adults!!!
As for the both ways... yeah... Phelps was rough too BUT not half as rough as they were treated.... I personally think the game got WWWAAYYYYY outta hand in the first quarter and went from there!!! AND... your not starting an argument.. LOLOL..... You had a rather nice post there 15th....

yeah i agree with you the refs def lost control of the game to me i am going to put the game play on the refs more so than the players...the players play the game but the refs have to regulate the style (as in physical play) cheap shots are something you have to take care of within the first 2 or 3 mins of the game if you can not take care of them then you will not get control of the game at all...
