Anyone there for the game??

Knox played the way the fans have been waiting to see. Solid D, good pitching, hit the ball well and beat a good North team. If the bats come around, they will be a team to take notice of.

Hill pitched awfully well for KC. North did load the bases against him three times, but he kept coming up with the big pitches to get out of jams. I've said all along that Central is the one team that could jump up into the North-South mix, they've got those juniors and sophomores that have been good for a long time.
North really misses Maxey, their catcher, right now. He is out trying to get some academic issues straightened out, hopefully will be back soon. As good as he is on defense, right now they are really missing him at the plate. He was the leading hitter a year ago, and they desperately need one more big stick in the lineup.
The region has been sorta crazy early. KC had just lost to Clay Saturday. Clay lost to Middlesboro. South got hammered at home, 9-2, by Scott Co. So it may not be as cut and dried as it looked on paper.

Good win for kc but I dont put much stock in any one game in baseball.

It's early and depending on pitching rotation, anyone can be beat on any given day
