Final. Covington Holy Cross wins both the Class A and the Sweet Sixteen. Excellent win for one of our fine private schools in the Ninth Region.

Allen County Scottsville deserved to win and all in the Commonwealth should tip their hats to the Patriots. Exemplary group of young ladies.

It's interesting to note that, back in December, East Carter beat Covington Holy Cross by 11 points. Of course, at tournament time, Ashland beat East Carter, Henderson County beat Ashland, Louisville Male beat Henderson County, and Covington Holy Cross beat Louisville Male (as well as Elizabethtown and Allen County Scottsville).

Beating Etown was very surprising.
