Fresno State is now challenging for the Mountain West Conference title.
Owootoah has led Fresno to four straight wins while playing the
point guard position. In those four wins, Owootoah has logged
135 minutes with only two turnovers and also added some timely
baskets. Fresno State's coach Terry says, "Emmaneul has run our team
and done a great job defensively for us. We have great chemistry right
now with how we're playing and what we're doing."

Coach Terry made those comments in response to questions concerning
Caezar Guerrero's impending return to the team. Guerrero's NCAA
continuing eligibility concerns have been resolved; he is eligible to
play his old position, point guard. His high scoring average makes him
a media focus and a fan favorite.

Please allow my lifetime bias concerning this particular issue to speak: Guerrero is a ball hog. His scoring, regardless of efficiency, is not
worth the sacrifice of team defense and team chemistry. Coach Terry responded as such. Will coach Terry have the courage to name
Owootoah his starting point guard? He should, but he probably won't.
BGR members know how this plays out in the mountains.

Fan pressure will likely tempt coach Terry to play Guerrero. Fresno will
fall out of first place. Owootoah will get inconsistent minutes. Team
chemistry will disappear. Instead of massaging the team, Owootoah
will be tempted to force his offense. The media byline will read, "Bulldogs
hoping Guerroro rounds into form for final conference push."
Good to see Owootoah playing well.
I am happy that Cordia will get reconized for what the Kid is doing good luck.
Good Luck To Owootoah!!! Keep It Up Kid
