There were a lot of factors that determined this game. Paintsville did play very hard. That is what this rivalry is about. Central struggled from the line and got outrebounded. Two of the most important factors in a basketball game. However, the inconsistence of the officials was awful. The have to take control of the game when play STARTS to get out of hand. It was the same in the JV game. Win, lose or draw Dale Conn, Jordan Hall and Tim Trent called a terrible game.
This is the first win for Paintsville's senior's over JC in their high school career. JC had won eight straight games in this rivalry. This is the longest Win streak for either team starting from the '98/'99 season to present.

Congrats Paintsville. I bet this was a good one to watch.

I am sure it will be and I'd about bet money "Walking" Wendall and Mike Hall will be apart of the officiating.
How many games did Paintsville win straight over JC in the 90's?

It had to be at least 10-15.......
why don't you do something about it? Instead of hiding behind here? I know why, you'd rather complain and act like a big shot who doesn't know crap!!!
and who do they broadcast for? JC of course... I was there watching. Game is always physical for these 2 teams. Both had a chance to win and Central couldn't do it! Plain and simple
Good Win For Paintsville!!!

When you are talking about something in a previous post... it is a good idea to use the QUOTE button or QUOTE+ if you are gonna use more than one quote.
I think this is the year someone heads to Rupp from the 15th besides Johnson Central.
Congrats to Paintsville. I have been in many regions watching basketball games as I'm sure a lot of you on here have been. I have to say that there are bad refs everywhere but I have never seen as many cocky, bad calling, inconsistent, refs as there are in the 15th region. Refs can be game changers and I have witnessed it with a lot of these 15th region refs. I sometimes think they get paid to throw games. :eyeroll:
We had the 15th region officials for all 3 of our wymt games and I do admit they really let the kids play. In Clay's game against Knott, we did not shoot 1 free throw the entire game. And I actually thought they called a decent game. If they are consistent on both ends I have no problem with the calls. Congrats Paintsville on the W
Good win
