Final

Not going to be as easy for SV as some on here seem to think.
It was 1 overtime & Shelby Valley played terrible last night. They also played on the road with their starting PG in Rowe being limited due to injury. Valley is still the best team by far when they are playing good, and they wasn't last night and still won, so JC missed it's chance lol. Cause Rodney Rowe won't let valley play bad when the region tournament time comes around.
Sheldon Clark led Johnson Central the whole game Friday night until about 3:00 left in 4th quarter without point guard and 2 other starters in severe foul trouble whole game that eventually fouled out. Lost in overtime. Where does that rank them in the broad scheme of things.
Sorry. Was going by what KHSAA had posted. They had overtime listed twice.
That being said. It's still not gonna be a walk in the park for them.

Shelby Valley played bad? Looks to me like they played pretty good.....Rowe played almost the whole game.....JC has been limited due to injuries too.... My take on this game is JC played horrible missed too many easy shots and had too many unforced turnovers and Shelby Valley shot the lights out and JC still should have won the game....Spurlock had an off game with only 8 and JC still had a chance to win.... Just give credit where credit is due....These are two great teams in this region....
To say it's gonna be easy for Valley is crazy! Yes they're very talented and Rodney does great job but several teams can compete for the region. Obviously JC matches up well with them as evident in the overtime game they just played. Paintsville has the athleticism plus a inside presence in Sammons to challenge them. And don't sleep on Sheldon Clark they have to nice bigs in Garcia and Waller and Lafferty is playing lights out! I think it will be a very competitive regional!
Congratulations to Shelby Valley...sounds like a great game!

Shelby Valley was 7-21 from three and 20-53 overall from the field (2's and 3's)...
Really good game.
