If we win most likely Corbin will have to make the 3 hours 25 mins trip.
Kasey Clark 188 yards on 13 carries and 5 TDs. The star of the game was the Russell defense though. East Carter could do nothing to move the ball. The only 1st down I can remember the Raiders getting in the first half came on a pass interference penalty.
Way to go Red Devils, Congrats.
I cant help but voice the disgraceful acts of a few EC coaches or who ever they were coming out of the pressbox. Absolutely stupid behavior... Needless to say the were escorted out of the facility... They were down right disgraceful....

Yeah,my daughter told me about that,but I didnt see it. What was their problem.

They were not East coaches, it was a couple drunk fans who came into the pressbox and acted totally crazy. The East coaches that were in the pressbox actually came to the Russell side of the pressbox and apologized for the behavior of anyone from East Carter. The fans were upset that Russell was working on some things against them and felt like we were trying to run the score up on them. It quickly calmed down and was handled accordingly.
I will say this though, there was an East Carter assistant who was outside of the lockerroom before the game disrespecting Kasey Clark while talking to a enquiring fan. He stated that they could shut Kasey down and only had to focus on the passing game. He said they had Kasey figured out and thought if they could contain the passing game that they could win. Kasey just happen to be within earshot and heard every bit of it. Not that he needed anymore motivation with it being playoff time and all but he wanted to make a huge statement tonight and I think he and the rest of the Devils did just that. The Russell defense was SMOTHERING!!! Great start to the march for another. Devils need to take it one game at a time and not overlook anyone. Russell dominated this game from start to finish. Good luck to Coach Damron and East in the future. IMO, Coach Damron is one of the top coaches in our area with his ability to get the most out of his players and they ALWAYS improve over the year. I think most people at Russell feel the exact same way, if Russell doesn't win it all then they'll be rooting for Belfry. It's turned into a nice classy rivalry. You guys treat us with the utmost respect when we visit your place and I can only hope you all feel the same.

Not so nice football fans showing their stupidity againist a good football club.It happens everywhere,taking nothing away from East Carter you guys played a good game,but some coaches,parents,and fans can get out of control.NO EXCUSE for that.

That would only be in the state semifinals. In the third round or regional final Russell would face the winner of Corbins district if they make it that far. Middlesboro would have to deal with the Belfry/Prestonsburg winner before they saw Russell.

I wasn't able to make the game but I listened to it on the radio. Sounded like the DEVILS came to play. I hope they come to play next week so they can stay at HOME the following week also.
I was listening when the situation happened in the pressbox. It sounded like the whole pressbox was in a fight or something. The radio announcers apologized on the radio for what happened even though it wasn't anything they could do about it.
Found out it was fans form the EC side that came up,,,,, I bet Damron will have the fans doing laps this week,,,,,,!!!!!!!!!
