The Lexington Legends and their major league parent club, the Kansas City Royals, have agreed to a two-year extension of their player development contract. The new contract will run through the 2018 season. The Legends became the Royals’ class A affiliate when a four-year agreement for 2013 through 2016 was reached in September 2012.
