There is a neat little trick you can accomplish with Windows 98 that will allow you to restart your computer from only a shortcut. To do this:

* Click the Start button.
* Select Programs
* Select Acessories
* Click on Notepad
* Once you are there, type @exit inside of Notepad.
* Now, save the document with a .BAT extension.
* Save it into a directory onto your hard drive and create shortcut for it on your Desktop.
* Right-click on the shortcut and click Properties.
* Click the Program tab.
* Put a check in the "Close on exit" checkbox.
* Click the Advanced button.
* Make sure "MS-DOS mode" is selected.
* Make sure "Warn before entering MS-DOS mode" is not selected.
* Click OK twice.

Now, simply double-click on the icon to restart your computer.
