Middlesboro played a really nice game. Lucas Crawford pitched well, nothing overpowering, only one K I believe, but well thrown. North had to execute in the short game to produce their two runs, which they did to perfection. And Jake Brock seemingly made about a dozen nice plays in center for the Jackets. Have loved that kids game since he was in middle school, a great high school player. The Jackets just could never get any real offense against North's Weston Greibel, only a freshman, but a seasoned two year starter. He's deceptively effective, probably doesn't hit 80, but locates so well and seemingly never gets roughed up too much.
Now the North-South matchup people have been wanting to see is set. Can't imagine it being anything other than a low-scoring game that is in doubt right to the final pitch.
