With the 2014 Sweet 16 coming to an end, below is the updated list of schools with the most Sweet 16 wins during the past 20 years.
1. Scott County 25 wins (2 championships, 3 runner-up, 8 final fours, amazing)
2. Ballard 17 wins (very impressive.)
3. Mason County 15 (great run in the early 2000's)
3. Lexington Catholic 15 (Wow. Two 11th region teams in the top 4. Lex Cath was the state's best program in early 2000s)
5. Warren Central 12 (Tim Riley had quite the powerhouse from 2004-2007)
6. Paintsville 10 (Big time run with Vanhoose and Tacket)
6. PRP 10 (three final fours, but no championships during this period)
6. Holmes 10 (great run from 2007-2009)
9. Eastern 8 (a state championship in 97 and another final four in 2011)
10. South Laurel 7 (state champion in 2005)
10. Trinity 7 (a state championship and a final four in last 3 years.
The only changes from before the tournament was that Trinity inched it's way into a tie for 10th with South Laurel and Scott County extended it's lead over Ballard. PRP is the only team in the top 10 without a championship during the last 20 years.
