No reason to hang your heads Lady Pirates, you made history. 1st team in school history to make it to the regional championship game. Best of Luck to the 4 Powell County Lady Pirate seniors (Keeley Rogers, Nikki Wells, Triston Curtis, Stephanie Knox) in their future endeavors.
Congrats to the Perry County Central Lady Commodores on winning their 3rd region championship in the last 4 years. Good luck at the Sweet 16 next week, represent the 14th region well.
Very classy by the Perry County Central Lady Commodores and student section. All got up and cheered when Powell County Coach Ken Jones went to get his trophy, also Perry county Central Lady Commodores presented Coach Ken Jones with a red towel. Coach Jones' famous red towel. Very Classy by the Lady Commodores and their fans.
I don't have the stats but at the half, PCC was 4-8 from the line, Powell was 11-20. It didn't get any better for the Lady Pirates in the second half as they continued to struggle from the line while PCC knocked down most of their foul shots.
Again, congrats to both teams, Perry Central in the region championship and Powell County on a history making season.

Congrats to both teams. Powell hits FT's it is a different story. Foul trouble for both teams. Rooting for Coach Jones to win. PCC has a good draw in state. Good luck to them.
