Buckhorn celebrated senior night with a big win over Jenkins. Seniors Richard Stidham and Joey Grove were honored before the game. The win gives Buckhorn 19 wins for the season. A win against Powell on Saturday will give Coach John Nobel his third 20 win season at Buckhorn.
In all of the recruiting going on in the fourteenth region, John Noble still finds a way to build a program with local kids. You have to respect that. He made a group of winners with the class of 2012 (Matt Day, Trevor Easterling, Scott Blank, etc.) and looks to do it with this bunch as well. They are probably still a year away from really contending for a regional title, but they will be right in the hunt next season and have improved a ton this year. Also, I think Noble should get a look as 14th Region COY for reaching 20 wins with a team that was .500 a year ago.
