From Powell I would have to say Jon Skidmore. He has shown great improvement from the past years.
Josh Taylor, Cordia he put up 20 some against South Laurel during the summer

Cordia should be really solid this season, they could suprise some people, they have a really good guard this year too I believe.
I wouldnt say Fetters is a sleeper but i would say that he is the most improved player in the region and that sometimes he really doesnt do much and other times he is able to drop 20+ points. Some might call that being a sleeper and some might not.
i think jenkins will be a sleeper in the 14th this upcoming year

Who do they have back?? Who are they starting at the two Guard spots..They should be more experienced the next two seasons.

they have most of thier players back they only lost 3 players which were 2 starters.........they have 3 starts back this year and some good bench players back...........they will be starting puckett and grimm which are 2 good guards!!!

Zach Hurt is the guard your talking about, I think he'll be one of the better players in the 14th region.

I agree, Zach Hurt is a very good player, Cordia as team is a sleeper imo no one really thinks they can do anything. Im goin to take them right now as the 06-07 14th region champs.

Cordia as 14th region champs?? haha....they probably have the talent to win it but they dont believe they could win the 3 river conference over there...thats the problem no mindset
Cordia 14th region champs?
Well thats my preseason pick, it might change when the season starts and i get to see all the 14th region teams play, Cordia has a better chance than Powell and everyone on here is having big things for them ...WiseCracker and Benchwarmer who do ya think will win??
shew id be afraid to say ....but....ill go with PCC....lee and JBS also to be in the hunt...ill go with KCC as my darkhorse
personally i think that JBS will come out of this region just because i played against them last year and the stepp boys were pretty good even tho i think the youngest one is a better player

Are you talking about Cox? The only thing he can do is shoot. He is an excellent shooter, but Stepp is a better ball handler and better penetrator. He is also better under pressure.

Powell played Cordia over the summer without 5 players, 3 of which are starters, and they still beat them. So...do you still think they have a better chance than Powell????:dontthink

All I can say is you must be a die-hard Cordia fan. Cordia can't come within 20 points of June Buchanan this year.

I agree 100 percent!!!!!!
I believe Allen Martin of Powell is a sleeper. He is an excellent rebounder who isn't afraid to stick his nose in there for the ball. Decent shooter that can step out and hit the 3 occasionally.

Trey Congleton of Owsley will be a sleeper as well. With owsley being down I see him having the best year of his high school career.
Kinser from powell, and the martin boy that 3pointspecialist#10 speaks of.

Well,I'm not a die hard Cordia fan, I just think they are the sleeper team in the 14th and they just lost to JBS by 1 at Cordia last year and 6 in the district so I wouldn't say that Cordia couldn't come within 20pts.
I would have to agree about allen martin, he suprised alot of people last year. He did very well last season, i hope he has improved alot
I agree that Cordia is a sleeper in the 14th. They played Powell over the summer when Powell had 2 starters out. Powell only beat them by 4 points. They played again when Powell had Romans and Johnson back and Powell killed them by 20 points. But Zach Hurt didn't play against them. I can see Cordia making it to region when Hurt is playing but without him they ain't even a top 10 team. But I can see them as a sleeper when Hurt is playing.

I agree Zach Hurt will really have to carry this team and some players will have to compliment him..Josh Taylor will have to play big also and get his 10-15 pts and contribute on "D"..And throw in a good role player or two. If they come together as a team they could have a shot...I would definitley say with what they have there this season they could be a sleeper team.

Well, Powell never beat Cordia by 20 during ths summer, Cordia by them by 20pts at Perry Central then lost by 4 at Knott Central but Powell never beat them by 20 and Zach Hurt didnt play in that one.
I think Leslie will be a sleeper in th 14th. They lost alot but their speed, quickness and athletic ability will carry them a long ways. There bench will have to be big for them this year. If they get hot from the field they will be tough.

Lets see what you say after the games begin. You don't have a clue.

Any body here been to Cordia to play a game? No Parking, no seating, bad roads, bad refs. They are a good team, but don't say how much a team won by at Cordia. You are lucky to get out alive. They lost their big man but they still have Hurt and Gamble. They will be a team to reckon with.

No way you played against them last year. You don't have a clue about the team.
