Really suprised at the score on this one. Any details blue?
Collins should have beat this team by 28 or more. I am curious too.
Not too surprised, Collins is a little above average team, they are going to have games like this.

You're right, this one should not have been close. Collins had a bad night offensively. There were quite a few dropped passes, a few bad throws, and just no offensive rhythm at all. Collins scored easily on their first possession, but it was all down hill from there. The only other time in the first half they got close to scoring was when Blanton Creque missed a 58 yard FG. They scored again on their first possession in the 2nd half, and then didn't threaten to score until the end of the game. Spencer County tied the game up on a halfback pass in the 4th quarter. Collins fumbled on their own 40 with about 4 minutes left, but the defense held and Collins got the ball around the 15 yard line with less than 2 minutes remaining. Collins moved the ball easily down field and scored with 22 seconds left. The Collins defense played well as they have all season, the offense has just been inconsistent at times.

You've gotta give credit to Spencer County for playing a good game, but this should not have been close. Hopefully this is a wakeup call for the Titans, because if they continue to play like this, they will have a hard time winning very many more games.

Ok, let's hold on just a minute. Spencer played inspiring football last night. First score was blown call. Second was trick play and one heck of a catch by receiver. Spencer really slowed the game down using full play clock and taking lots of time getting ready for play whistle. Page was great. 21-31 with 5 drops about 300 yards. One problem Collins has had is running the football. Stopped too many times on 3 and 4th down. Stopped twice on 4 and short.
This game has always been close and is turning into hatered rival for spencer. Thanks to the police for escorting Collins off the field.
Anyway, this fan is not worried about this outcome. When it was time to win, the winners stepped up and won. We will see how it goes next week.
Anyone that has watched Spencer sees they are an improving team. I Like the way you want to diminish the way Spencer played. They stopped Collins on multiple occasions on 4th down. Twice on 4th and 1, Spencer used a different approach than others have this season. As for slowing the game down isn't that like part of a game plan that Spencer executed? Collins definitely dropped some passes but the defense played by Spencer was extremely effective.

If you think teams can turn it on whenever they want that is a dangerous way to do business.
