Figured we could have a little fun. I did this two season's ago and think it may be fun to bring it back.

Basically I will pick 7 games each week and I will set the point spread. You simply pick based off the spread. For those that want to participate each week I will keep a running tally to see who fares the best.

Keep in mind, this is not simply picking the winner..you are going off the spread. For example if the line reads:

Hazard @ Pikeville (+6)

This means Pikeville is a 6 point underdog to Hazard or they are (getting 6 points).

If you feel Pikeville is going to win outright..you would select Pikeville since they are the underdog.

If you feel Hazard will win, but Pikeville will lose by less than 6 points you would select Pikeville and take the Points

If you feel Hazard will win, but think they will win by more than 6 points then you will take Hazard to "cover" or you could also say you are "laying the points".

So in this example if you took Hazard, but the Final Score was Hazard winning 28-24.. you would lose. If you took Pikeville, and the score was 28-24 Hazard winning..you would still win. If you took Hazard but the Final Score was Hazard winning 28-22 you would "push" and it would go as a tie.

One other note is fractional points. If the line read Hazard at Pikeville (+6.5) then a push is out of the picture..it would require a 7 point victory for Hazard to cover..and Pikeville could lose by 6 points, but not 7, and cover if you took them.

Everyone got it?

(+) means they are getting the points.. or they are the underdog

(-) means they are giving the points, or they are the favorite.

(EVEN) means it is a pick'em.. in other words there are no points to give or receive.. you simply are picking the winner or the loser.

So here we go:

Covington Catholic @ Dixie Heights (+3.5)
Desales (+ 31) vs. John Hardin
Raceland (+8.5) @ Ashland
Anderson County (-10.5) @ George Rogers Clark
Central (-2.5) @ Lafayette
Fort Campbell @ Russellville (EVEN)
Prestonsburg @ Sheldon Clark (+ 34.5)

I am trying to spread it out throughout the entire State to make it more difficult.. had one mountain game and another EKY game (Ashland/Raceland) this week, I am sure it will vary from week to week with some weeks having more mountain teams than others, but the general format will be:

EKY vs. EKY
WKY vs. WKY
CKY vs CKY
NKY vs. NKY
Lou Metro vs. Lou Metro
Inter-Regional Game (This Week was Lou vs. Lex)
Rivalry Game (This Week was Ashland vs. Raceland)

Yes... in 1. Cincy is giving 10 points... in 2. 49'ers are getting 10 points... same thing
The Correct Choices were:
Covington Catholic covering by winning by 8
Desales covering by winning outright
Raceland losing by one being given 8.5
Anderson County covering with a 29 point win
Central covering with a 3 point win
Russellville winning outright
Pburg covering with a 43 point win
