** The BGR Power Rankings are a different take on rankings offering a regional breakdown with all classes combined. These rankings are intended to be fluid with merit awarded on performance, strength of schedule, and the general "it" factor. A team is not guaranteed to retain their spot with a victory, nor are they guaranteed to move down due to a loss**
1. Harlan County- The Black Bears were a Semi-Finalist last season and enter 2013 with a deep/experienced team.
2. Johnson Central- The Golden Eagles debut at #2 thanks to an extremely experienced backfield and plenty of Senior leadership on defense.
3. Belfry- The Pirates were the lone Mountain representative in Bowling Green and have a core of extremely talented skill players, but only one returning linemen and a defense losing 6 starters make their start value a little lower.
4. Ashland- The Tomcats have possibly the best player East of I-75 in Quinton Baker, but will have to field a formidable defense to contend with Johnson Central in 4A.
5. Bell County- The Bobcats are hanging by a thread thanks in large part to a lack of another team with the pedigree to knock them off. Lots of questions for a Bobcat squad who will be very young.
