UK has finalized its 2006-07 men's basketball schedule, which includes a 16-game Southeastern Conference slate and most of the league's television selections and game times.

The Wildcats have five appearances scheduled on CBS and seven slots on ESPN's family of networks - ESPN, ESPN2 and potentially ESPNU. Eight UK games will be shown by the SEC's syndicated TV partner, Lincoln Financial Sports (formerly Jefferson-Pilot).

FSN South will show five non-conference games, which will also be shown tape-delayed on the Big Blue Sports Network. FSN South/Sunshine Network has yet to finalize their SEC schedule, which could include UK games.

The Big Blue Sports Network will also show five games live - including two exhibition games and three non-conference regular-season contests - on its network of statewide affiliates.

UK opens SEC play Saturday, Jan. 6, at Ole Miss. The Cats open the home portion of their league schedule Jan. 10 against Auburn. Senior Day in Lexington features Georgia on Feb. 28. UK also welcomes Mississippi State (Jan. 13), Vanderbilt (Jan. 20), Tennessee (Jan. 28), South Carolina (Feb. 7), defending national champion Florida (Feb. 10) and 2006 Final Four participant LSU (Feb. 20) to Rupp Arena.

The Wildcats released its non-conference schedule, which features a spot in the EA Sports Maui Invitational and eight home games, last month.

Kentucky begins preparations for the season with Big Blue Madness on Friday, Oct. 13, which will once again this year take place at Rupp Arena.
