Quote:House committee to probe Sebelius soliciting money for ObamaCare signups

House Republicans are starting a probe into Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius soliciting donations from companies her agency might regulate, to help sign up uninsured Americans for ObamaCare.

Sebelius in recent weeks has asked various charitable foundations, businesses executives, churches and doctors to donate money to nonprofit organizations, such as Enroll America, that are helping to implement President Obama's health care overhaul.

The agency said Friday there is a special section within the Public Health Services Act that allows the secretary to solicit financial support for nonprofit organizations conducting public health work.

However, the solicitations, through speeches and phone calls, have raised questions about whether a federal official can ask for money from groups he or she oversees.

What say you, RV, does an honest administration ask individuals or companies that they regulate to make donations to causes that the administration supports?

I don't respond to articles from Fox. They are known to lie to promote their Obama hate.

Without lemmings like you, Obama couldn't function. His agenda will never be exposed so long as so many of you blindly follow each other over the cliff.

Sebelius is a viper.
House republicans on yet another wild goose chase. She can fund raise as a private citizen.

Fox News is the primary reason that the corruption within the Obama administration is finally getting attention from CNN, ABC, the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN, and other "mainstream" media. Maybe you would prefer to respond to one of these or maybe you are more comfortable having your head resting in perpetual darkness.

How about answering the question? Should federal agencies be requesting donations from the individuals and corporations that they are charged with regulating? Yes or no?
This is nothing more than another goose chase the house republicans are doing to hide the fact they are refusing their job, and to hide their treasonous, lawbreaking actions as to their congressional duties. Polls show how low their numbers are, the lowest in history, and a lot of the problems in congress will work themselves out in 2014, or rather the voters will work them out.

She is well within her rights to solicit donations as a private citizen. Absolutely zero will come of this. BTW, you don't have the authority to narrow questions down to an only, yes or no answer.
I wonder how much money house republicans are going to waste on the goose chases, and trying to repeal the ACA? They have already wasted 1.9 billion taxpayer dollars just trying to repeal the ACA alone.

I have the absolute right to frame questions however I choose. You have the right to avoid answering them in a straight forward manner and you exercise that right prolifically.

Sebelius is the U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary and she is soliciting donations while performing the duties of that position. The private citizen defense may fly on the Democratic Underground website, but most people recognize it as another dishonest effort to defend the pervasive corruption within this administration.

Liar. Obamacare is a waste of taxpayer money. The money spent on efforts to repeal it are peanuts well spent.

You mean like the way labor unions have wasted money trying to recall duly elected governors? From my perspective, republicans haven't wasted a dime. Last time I checked we had a representative form of government, I don't want ObamaCare and I really don't like the fact that it has been forced upon me. I hope the republicans get the darn thing repealed as soon after the elections of 2014 as possible.

Right, the majority of Americans want the ACA, and the SC has backed that up. You'll never see enough republicans to hold enough seats to get it repealed. Your guys will lost seats in both houses in 2012, and more loses are on the horizon in 2014. Mark that down.

The bolded passage is a lie. A Supreme Court decision does not reflect the popularity or unpopularity of an issue. Your statement makes no sense. I will remember your prediction of Republican losses in the 2014 mid-term elections. The party in control of the White House almost always loses seats in mid-term elections, particularly when the current president finds himself surrounded by scandals of his own making.

Write it down and save it. Not this time. A liberal wave is going, and it doesn't look like it's going to end,....unless the "angry middle aged white mans club" changes their strategy. Even top republicans acknowledge they are toast if they don't change.

LOL, did you come up with that one yourself, or is that something you picked up from Debbie W. Schultz?

:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: Top Republicans? Who? McCain, Graham? You have no clue what you are talking about. Scandals lead to disastrous results for the president's party in mid-term elections. A liberal wave? If you don't think that the IRS scandal will drive GOP turnout in 2014 and drive independents to the right, you are a fool. (Well even if you did believe it...) :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

It is an odd phrase to come from the keyboard of an angry middle-aged white man, isn't it?

Except for the fact that I don't vote with the "angry, middle aged, white mens club".
TheRealVille Wrote:Except for the fact that I don't vote with the "angry, middle aged, white mens club".
Sure you do. There are more angry, middle aged white men the Democratic Party than in the GOP. Conservatives tend to be a happy lot who do not engage in self loathing.
^ I don't vote to hold classes of people down. I vote for "liberty and justice for all", and for "we the people". I vote for all citizens to be treated equal.

You vote to allow thugs like Obama take from hard working people and give to people who want to stay home and take it easy 24/7. You do vote to hold classes of people down, you just are not smart enough to realize it. Nobody ever got rich collecting welfare or unemployment checks.

And once more we see the art of self deception deployed under duress. What a total liberal self deluded load. :biglmao:

Trying to imagine what a liberal wave might look like. Best they could likely do would look more like that white frothy stuff one sees on a windy day at he treatment plant. Confusednicker:

If all are treated equally, all the special "rules" for minorities of all shapes, colors, and persuasions would have to be discontinued.

Equal opportunity for all is impossible. In terms of abilities, opportunities, heredity, and environment, all are obviously not created equally. A minority born into poverty will not have an equal opportunity to that of the son of Michael Jordan. Equality looks good on paper as part of some dimwit sociology class at Harvard. However, it is nothing more than that.

Of course, we could have equality of outcome if we had a Obama-type socialist system. But, even then, those capable of achieving would be supressed in order to be "equal" to the dullards and do nothings.

That's a good concept, if it worked that way. It might would, if republicans got onboard.
But how could all of those various and sundry "minority" groups and "special" groups, the vast majority of whom reelected Obama, survive if they didn't get all those "entitlements"? Surely, we can't expect them to earn their own way and even pay some income tax, can we? They need their free Obamacare, Obamaphones, Obamaabortions, Obamafoodstamps, etc. It is a contract. They did their part by voting for Obama. Now Obama owes them their handouts.
