JFK did a pretty good job of describing the liberalism of the early 60s but his definition certainly does not fit a man like Obama. No American president has done more to rob American citizens of their constitutional rights in recent history than Obama has. He has been Nixon on steroids.

JFK didn't believe in handing people everything they want through taxpayer funded government entitlement programs. "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

Obama doesn't either, you have him mistaken for Bush Jr.

Ooh, you've arrived it seems. You are now certified to make yourself believe anything you want about dems. :biglmao:
Ask not what this country can do for you, ask what type of smart phone comes with your government plan.
It is hard to imagine how a government that promotes its social welfare programs on Mexican soil and refuses to enforce its own immigration laws will survive much longer. Unfortunately, undermining our national sovereignty is a bipartisan effort and it may have gained too much momentum to be stopped.

LOL, has McCain cut a deal with Al Qaeda yet?
Bob Dole says Reagan couldn't make it in today's GOP. Is he right?

Former Republican presidential candidate Bob Dole said Ronald Reagan wouldn't have been accepted in today's GOP. Maybe, like Dole, he just wouldn't have understood today's D.C.

Right, today's democrat can sling mud the likes of which Satan himself would be hard pressed to match but, republicans are the ones who need to change. They need to forfeit all ties to anything moral, abandon any mention of the God of the universe, completely rewrite/redefine history in light of the liberal slant, espouse gay rights, endorse and fund the monstrous abortion machinery allowing the rates to surge past being measured in the millions on into the billions, say what the heck and gratuitously embrace off the scale entitlements, allow liberalism to erase the last vestiges of absolutes from our system of law thusly neutering accountability at any level, adopt a trust in the new world order, the universal brotherhood of man, the Arab Spring, replace the Holy Scriptures with the latest version of the democratic party national platform and finally, elevate tolerance to golden rule status.

And the good news to all of this? Owing to the fact that we have the example of the fall of 5th century Rome as a model, we look to be following the path perfectly. FWIW, ironically this is one nightmare from which I'd love to be able to awaken.

Bob Dole is a great American but he is a bitter old man with a flawed memory. He cost George H.W. Bush a second term and later ran one of the worst presidential campaigns in history. He was a compromiser who cut deals in smoke filled rooms but never understood real leadership.

Reagan would have been right at home speaking at a Tea Party rally. His core positions did not change from the early 60s until he finished his second term. He was not perfect but he was far and a way the best president of my lifetime. The nominations of Bob Dole and John McCain in successive presidential campaigns were sad chapters in GOP history.

If Dole wants to help the Republicans, then he needs to understand that had his shot and blew it. He is not, nor was he ever in the same class as Ronald Reagan in terms of leadership or accomplishments.

Crazy is not a prerequisite to be elected. If it was, you could be president.

Obama wouldnt have even been a Senator in the old democratic party....
In Bill Clinton's administration, Obama would have been fetching his coffee - according to Slick Willy himself.

As Bill Clinton told Ted Kennedy, Obama would be serving them their coffee.

Bob Dole shares a kindred spirit with John McCain IMO. Both are naïve, though generally moral minded men, who have a tendency to be over trusting of their contemporaries. Dole's big deal was to dissolve the IRS. If one cannot get elected on those terms he truly is a bad candidate.
