HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - There was a D-I basketball signing over in Knott County Wednesday afternoon.
Cordia point guard Emmanuel Owootoah signed to continue his athletic and academic careers at Fresno State University. Owootoah helped lead the Lions to the 14th Region semifinals last season, and feels that Fresno provides him the best opportunity to grow and develop.
"For me and my family, I feel like I made the best decision," says Owootoah. "I feel like I'm going to the right spot where I'm going to get everything I need, where I can grow to become a better person, become a man, and a better basketball player. I just felt like that was the best spot for me. My relationship with Coach Terry and some of the players when I went on my visit, it was real good, and I felt like I could grow and excel there more than anything else."
