A seven-run fifth inning led Shelby County to a 12-2 win in the championship game of the Wood Bat Classic.

Shelby improves to 14-1, and returns to action Tuesday night against Owen County.

Good to see Shelby Co. finally having some success after the split.

Both Shelby County teams have a combined record of 29-1. Not a bad start for both teams!

Not Ashland, tourney held at Henry and Shelby.
Both teams are doing well. Shelby's bottom part of the line up is hitting, and I attribute that to hitting coach Devin Hicks (All state player from Memphis, played at Ole Miss) And they are playing solid defense. The schedule for both teams gets tougher on the back end, but both teams from Shelby County should finish 1-2 in the district this year.
