After the first ballot black smoke was seen leaving the Sistine Chapel chimney meaning no pope was elected. The Cardinals will try again tomorrow morning

Another vote and no pope yet.
They can vote up to 4 times in a day so more votes will come
Why would they change their vote?
This could last forever!
two vote so far today still black smoke
Am I the only one that is confused on how voting for a new pope happens?
you have 115 cardinals of voting age who vote. The person with 2/3's of the vote becomes pope.

Simple enough.....however, why couldn't that just have happened in one day?
White smoke.
It's getting the required votes. After each ballot (which they burn thus the smoke references) if they don't have the 2/3's they process begins anew.
More than likely someone will be voted in this afternoon of tomorrow.
Habemus Papam!
