Elkton (AP) A Todd County man suffered injuries after he was intentionally run over by a car, state police said.

Joshua Williams, 24, of Elkton, was hospitalized with injuries, including two broken legs. State police in Madisonville received a complaint around 1:09 a.m. CST Saturday morning from emergency services in Todd County that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle on Stringtown Road in Elkton.

State police were working to obtain a warrant to arrest Ben Slaughter, of Elkton, on charges of first-degree assault. State police did not name any other subjects in a statement on the incident.

State police said Williams was involved in an argument and then began fighting with several males in a vehicle.

The men then held Williams on the passenger side as they began to drive, dragging him until he fell off and into a yard, state police said.

The vehicle then backed over Williams, drove over him again and then fled the scene, according to state police.

Williams was admitted to Jennie Stuart Hospital in Hopkinsville for his injuries. His condition was not known Sunday morning.
Hope he gets well soon.
