As of this weekend, there will be no Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania 29. There had been some talk of bringing the gimmick match back to WWEâs biggest show of the year, but the feeling is that Money in the Bank can stand exist on its own pay-per-view and WWE will already have enough big matches to fill the WrestleMania card.
The upside of Money in the Bank is that WWE can get multiple underutilized mid-card wrestlers on the show in a single match. Itâs possible WWE will do a pre-show battle royal in order to give out as many WrestleMania paydays as possible, as weâve seen in recent years.
Additionally, Dolph Ziggler still has his Money in the Bank briefcase and it wouldnât make sense to have a new Money in the Bank briefcase won before he cashes in.
