GAYLORD, Mich. The gates of a Michigan cemetery were closed today while crews removed the body of Laura VanRyn (van-RYN') from the grave where a college classmate's parents buried her by mistake.
A week ago, VanRyn's family learned that the badly injured woman they thought was their daughter was actually a remarkable lookalike -- a classmate involved in the same highway crash.A cemetery owner in Grand Rapids says VanRyn's body is expected to be reburied there in a private ceremony later this week. The woman who survived the accident, Whitney Cerak (SEER'-ak), is improving. In a Web log started by relatives, her father writes today that Cerak is sitting up to eat meals and asking when she can go home.
