That is what I heard as well.
Have heard Holcombs name as well, but also heard it last year. Have a hard time seeing him make that move despite Breathitts school system woes. Would be a great hire though.
Bring in the right coach and all else should fall in line for LCC. Now it may not happen overnight, but all the variables for a very solid program are there. Passion from parents is not always a bad thing. Patience may be the key word. See RIUTG's post in the "Succesful football programs" thread for reference.
Holcomb has won three state championships. What more does he have to prove? State taking over a school is not a good thing for any athletic program. Smart move by his part to jump ship. Wish he would have done is last year.
