Thoughts and predictions on this 6A State Semi final game.
Trinty 35-7
Does anyone remember the Scott Co vs Highlands game?

This one will be similar, just not as close.

Scott Co: Congrads on another good season
Trinity: Next
Running clock early 3rd.
Rocks 49-10
Trinity by alot
Scott county in an upset with quick maybe out could be a trap game
There's no trap. Trinity is 100pts better without the running clock.

I am afraid just the opposite may occur. The scare from St. X may focus the Rocks and cause them to punish other teams next 2 weeks.
Wasn't this a title game last year? Why are they meeting now?
Trinity 41 Scott 7.

When I saw this tread I was questioning the same thing. This is only the second year in the realignment so how can they meet this year in the semi finals when playing last year in the championship game. Someone with deep knowledge of KHSAA football inlighten us on this please.

The reason these two are playing each other in the semi's when they played in the finals in 2011 is that in Class 6A, a team can be in a different region from year to year. 6A is the only class where this happens. Although Scott Co(D7) is in Region 3 for 2011 and 2012, Trinity(D4) was in Region 2 in 2011 but is in Region 4 in 2012. R3 vs R4 and R1 vs R2 are the semifinal games with the winners playing in the final.
Based on the playoff schedule below from KHSAA, these two teams districts would meet in semi's through 2014.

28-21 Scott County
Scott County (12-1) at Trinity (12-1)

A rematch of last year's Class 6-A state final, which the Shamrocks won 62-21.

* The Cardinals -- No. 5 in The Courier-Journal's Litkenhous Ratings -- rank second in the state in scoring at 52.9 points per game. Senior running backs Dieries Dumphord (1,366 yards, 21 touchdowns) and Kevo Edwards (1,422, 19 TDs) lead Scott County's wing-T rushing attack. Sophomore Clay McKee, son of head coach Jim McKee, has passed for 1,294 yards and 22 TDs. Junior Scott Daniel (36 catches, 901 yards, 14 TDs) is the top receiver.

* The No. 1 Shamrocks overcame a 14-0 first-quarter deficit and the loss of senior wide receiver James Quick to defeat No. 2 St. Xavier 15-14 last week. Quick (82 catches, 1,333 yards, 14 TDs this year) will miss the game with fractured ribs but possibly could return for the state final if Trinity wins, coach Bob Beatty said. With Quick out, juniors Cody Swabek (41 catches, 558 yards, 7 TDs) and Reggie Bonnafon (32 catches, 450 yards, 6 TDs) will be the top targets for senior quarterback Travis Wright (3,083 passing yards, 34 TDs).

* "The wing-T is a misdirection type of offense ... and the teams that are really good at it turn their backs to the defense and hide the football well. It forces your defense to take care of their assignments and not to be too aggressive." -- Beatty

The pick: Trinity 38-20.

Trinity by 21. Until someone from Kentucky beats Trinity that is where my money will lie. They are ahead of everybody in Kentucky right now.
Trinity could take UK behind the woodshed I think Scott Co. wiil be a better fight but the Rocks by at least 3 TD's
