Paintsville blows a 5-0 lead in the 2nd inning and it is back and forth from there. Shane Grimm goes the distance giving up only 2 earned runs. The Tigers commited 6 errors behind him in the field however. Paintsville had a hot first inning, and 2nd inning. Then the errors put Paintsville away. Great effort by Paintsville in this one, and Boyd Co.
This would have been a huge win for Paintsville & the 15th Region...Boyd Co. is usually pretty tough...Arent they ranked in the top 20?
Wow. Close game. But once again a 16th team prevails over a 15th.
Errors killed Paintsville in this one. They appeared to be in control but a few plays cost them.

It seems like errors have been a killer to the Tigers lately. I know the first Pikeville game, and Boyd Co., the Tigers shot themselves in the foot with errors. Maybe the Tigers started looking ahead to JC a little early. Statmaster, why are you so worried about this 15 vs. 16 battle. Does it really matter that much? It seems like ever game they play you have something to say about it.
Im still going with the 15th region to be the strongest!
And Boyd just keeps on rollin rollin rollin.
