Lawrence County Dawg Tennis member Tyler Maynard signed with the University of the Cumberlands last week. Tyler is a very powerful player who plays the net aggressively. Coach Chin Tan said of Maynard, "We are really excited to have him become part of our program. Tyler is a very strong and has developed good agility through his participation in football. He is devoted to making himself a better tennis player through practice and lessons. We will take his athletic ability and work on drills to develop technique and we are really excited to get him."
Coach Tan also said, "I hope he is not the last player we get from Lawrence County because that is a strong program and we want to continue to be able to get students from there to come and be part of our program. We are happy becasue not only is he a good player, but he is such a good young man and comes from really good parents. We want more players and people like him here."
Maynard ranks third all-time on Lawrence County's boys doubles wins list. Congratulations Tyler and keep up the good work. I'm sure you and Andy will bring home that regional doubles title this year.:letsparty:Thumbs::letsparty
