In his remarks introducing Vice Presidential nominee Paul Ryan, Sen. Rand Paul said that the U.S. still sends foreign aid to China.
Is this true? Yes, but that is a policy that was first pushed by Republicans in Congress.
The amount of development aid going to China is smallâabout $12 million in 2011âand most of it goes to combat HIV/AIDS in that a country and to help Tibet, according to this story by the Associated Press.
Would Mitt Romney cut off that aid? The GOP presidential nominee gave a major speech on foreign aid today. He called for an overhaul to foreign aid, but according to news reports in the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post, he didnât mention aid to China.http://cincinnati.com/blogs/politics/201...pment-aid/
