Obama Says He Can't Change Washington From Inside

President Obama said today the "most important" lesson he learned during his first term in the White House is that "you can't change Washington from the inside," a comment that prompted Mitt Romney to quip he intended to give Obama that chance on election day.
The president was speaking at a "Meet the Candidates" forum hosted by the Spanish-language network Univision when he was asked about his biggest failure.
The president said not enacting immigration reform legislation was his biggest failure, but went on to discuss his 2008 promise to bring change to Washington.
"The most important lesson I've learned is that you can't change Washington from the inside. You can only change it from the outside," Obama said.

Confusederiously::gtfo::wtf1:

He's the most powerful man on the planet and he can't change Washington? Isn't that what he ran on in 2008?

Mr. President you have to work with both sides of the isle. You have to work with all Americans.

The right side of the isle refused to do anything to help straightened out the mess. Their only message was, "our main priority is to get Obama out of office". McConnell actually said that. They blocked him at every move.
How many times did Mr. Obama actually go to the hill to talk?
Who controls the senate? Why haven't they pass a budget? Why does the Senate majority leader refuse to permit bills to have a straight up or down vote?

Of course it is. I really don't think he gives a flip about anybody who doesn't accept his notions of liberalism and social justice. They are just obstacles with passe and irrelevant notions, that must be overcome and done away with. That puts most Americans and all conservatives in the cross hair. And it moves folks who don't work to the head of the goody line. He really isn't everybody's president, only minorities, liberals and special interest groups.
