This idea may be out there, but have we ever thought about having a live, in-person get together for BGR? I thought that might be pretty cool, especially with the recent insane-level success of the site.

And then again, it may be the dumbest idea ever that is completely "wideleft" and "wideright" of normal thinking. What are your thoughts on doing something like this?

It's definitely possible, but it would take a lot of time to put together.

It's been talked about ever since I have been a member. Lot's of great ideas, but has never happened to my knowledge. Probably only suits those in specific regions. I've heard of a few members introducing themselves at sporting events, but that has been the extent of it.

It would be a brawl.

Too hard to get everyone together. If we tried regional get-togethers, and then tried a once per year BIG get together in Lexington or something like that it might work. However, start regional, then move big.

I am all game for doing something like this. Sounds like one of the business organizations I am in. Our region meets once per year, then we have our national meeting.

We have a baker annual get together . It's rather interesting . My first One was this year. Voices do not fit faces .

I think you kind of get an idea of what someone looks like by talking to them and when you meet them it all goes to crap lol...

I agree somewhat...
I think you "build" a person out of their views and remarks that you read on here. And..you sort of build them up or build them down.

AND..we don't have the luxury of a "voice"...only written opinions.
Besides, I bet I wouldn't be allowed to bring my pistol!!
