Final
It was like watching the Birds playing Mason Co except Trinity played the role of Highlands....McCoy and the 1st team offense are the only ones that suffered tonight. This game didn't do them a bit of good. They bit off way more than they could chew this evening.
What I saw tonight; T is a well oiled machine! Their first string on O and D is great, not boys but men. Need help with names, #6 def end is a beast, #50 D line is huge but able to run down the QB, James Quick has a chance to score a TD everytime he touches the ball,RB's are very fast, QB does not try to do too much and just puts the ball in talent he has around him. Their is a big drop in talent in T's first string and second string (do not know how many SR's they will lose next year).

Highlands will be very good and favorite in 4A. They did look like they are not gelled yet. QB (McCoy) was over throwing WR's tonight and WR's had a lot of drops tonight. O and D line looked good, D had tough night with T getting great starting field position all night(poor special teams). Last years weakness was special teams and they were a problem tonight(as mentioned above gave T great field position all night). Highlands continues with a lot of east and west running on kickoffs, and I would love to see more north/south running.T's D line is so good, it was tough to see what running game is going to be.

T would still be good with out Quick on O, but he makes the O great. He is a game changer, I think he will be playing on Sundays.
"
One funny comment made by T fans around us;" We lose our secret weapon next year when X's coach retires." They were saying X has as much talent but the coaching has been terrible, they are afraid X is going to bring in a top coach and start to give them a fight.

These are the two best football programs in the Commonwealth- including colleges.
1st Quarter
Trinity- 36
Highlands- 0

2nd Quarter
Trinity- 51
Highlands- 0

but, it was a scrimmage, so the score was actually 0-0 Wink
wow.
Sounds like Trinity flat out dominated this one.
There is nothing "wow" about this. T brought every skill position player from last years top 10 nationally ranked team. Highlands lost most all of there's. It would have Benn wow if the score was 150-0. Since it wasn't, then this is exactly what would have been expected.
Sounds like Highlands had a rough time, but then again they were playing against one of the best (if not the best) high school team in the nation. This will be a great learning experience for them. Trinity is just a damn good team, but so is Highlands, they will more than likely win 4A again.
