NEWPORT 11, BELLEVUE 0 â Freshman Katlyn Hoeh homered and tossed a one-hitter for the Wildcats.
Hoehâs second home run of the season, an inside-the-park shot over the center fielderâs head, keyed a six-run fourth inning.
Hoeh came within an out of her first career no-hitter, but she surrendered a double with two outs in the fifth. It was the sixth one-hitter of Hoehâs career.
Freshman Emily Atkins added three RBI for Newport â she singled home two in the first inning and belted a run-scoring base hit in the fourth.
