Arkansas senior guard C'eira Ricketts, a Fairdale graduate, was selected by the Phoenix Mercury at the end of the second round.
The Mercury took Ricketts with the 24th overall pick. She averaged 11.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game last season and helped the the Razorbacks to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2003.
Ricketts finished her career ranked seventh on Arkansas' career scoring list with 1,537 points.
"Phoenix is a good team for her," Razorbacks Coach Tom Collen said. "They might run up and down floor in transition as hard as any team in league and she will do well with that type of system. C'eira has a chance to be effective on both sides of floor for them."
