ST. HENRY 16, VILLA MADONNA 0 â 9th Regional All âAâ Classic at St. Henry â Senior center fielder Brandon Schwarte had two hits and two runs in a nine-run first inning in which St. Henry sent 14 men to the plate.
The Crusaders had nine hits in all in the opening inning, including a two-run double to the right-center field gap by senior catcher Elliott Ringo.
Junior left-hander Michael Niemer picked up the win, giving up two hits and one walk in four innings while striking out two.
Mitchell Kuebbing, who went two-for-free with a triple at the plate, struck out two batters in the fifth inning.
St. Henry will play Holy Cross in todayâs second semifinal at the Home of the Florence Freedom, scheduled to begin at 7.
