HOLY CROSS 12, NEWPORT 2 â 9th Region All âAâ Classic at Holy Cross â Senior designated hitter Jake Burger drove home four runs, including two with his first career home run over the left field fence in the first inning.
Burger also had a two-run double to left-center field as a part of the Indians five-run second inning.
Senior catcher Jeff Guidugli also had RBIs in both five-run rallies, driving in a single run with base hits in both the first and second innings.
Junior right hander Joe Woeste took advantage of the offense, gaining a complete game win, allowing just one walk and one earned run.
