CONNER 10, COOPER 7 â Sophomore third baseman Cameron Ross drove home juniors Dustin Hermann and Austin Price with a single to right to give Conner the lead for good after trailing by five runs early.
Cooper led, 5-0, when Cameron Fogle led off the bottom of the third inning with a home run. Price added a two-run double later in the inning to pull the Cougars even, 5-5.
Cooper right fielder Tyler Dililloâs two-run single in the fifth put Cooper back ahead, but Conner got one run back in the bottom of the fifth and Ross helped Conner push four runs across an inning later.
Senior Nathan Freese held Cooper scoreless over the final 2 1/3 innings in relief
