Tournament director Joyce Seymour has announced the four at-large basketball teams for the 2013 girls’ Republic Bank/Coca-Cola Louisville Invitational Tournament.

Glasgow, Owensboro Catholic, Paul Dunbar and Walton-Verona will join 12 teams from Louisville in the event set for Jan. 29-Feb. 2 at Bellarmine University’s Knights Hall.

Glasgow (Fourth Region), Walton-Verona (Eighth) and Paul Dunbar (11th) all won regional championships last season, with Paul Dunbar advancing to the Sweet 16 semifinals before falling to eventual state champion Manual.

Owensboro Catholic features Becca Greenwell, who missed all of her junior season with a knee injury but is expected to be a top candidate for Kentucky’s Miss Basketball honor next season.

Interesting that 3 of the 4 teams are A schools. They could be playing against each other the week before in Frankfort.

A lot of talent there. Should be interesting.
