Like Pelosi said, “But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.

The CBO is now reporting that Obama's health care plan will cost over $1.7 trillion dollars instead of the $940 billion originally estimated when the plan was signed into law.

Lol. Romney wants to privatize health care. You think elderly people could afford it then.
Amun-Ra Wrote:But his wife said they wasn't wealthy.

Feel sorry for them.
Health care should be a private institution.

What i dont understand is how liberal will claim the president can do nothing about gas prices because of big oil companies and the fact that that would be unconstitutional, however, the tyrant himself is going to kill the health care policies we have because its to high and hes "helping the people"?

Please if you have a brain, vote this DA out.

This is a portion of Ann Romney's interview with Neil Cavuto.

“We can be poor in spirit, and I don’t even consider myself wealthy, which is an interesting thing,” Ann Romney said in an interview on Fox News. “It can be here today and gone tomorrow.”

Romney’s comment came during a discussion about her battle with Multiple Sclerosis, and specifically in response to a question from Fox’s Neal Cavuto about whether the Romneys are “oblivious, given your wealth, to the everyday concerns of average folks.”

“How I measure riches,” Romney continued, “is by the friends I have and the loved ones I have and the people that I care about in my life, and that’s where my values are and that’s where my riches are.”

Does it come as a surprise that one of our liberal friends twisted the context around of what she said?

Old School, what she said is all something that liberal nitwits will never be able to understand. You know things family values....morals....God....personal accountability....working for what you have....yada yada yada

Now if were a discussion on things such as unnatural sex.....smokin dope.....free loader handouts.... jealousy.....yada yada yada.... Now they can relate to and support all that stuff.

.

And you have first hand experience in knowing what it's all about and what it costs from....?

Have you ever paid the first premium out of your pocket for any type of health care coverage? I seriously doubt that you have ever coughed up a single penny......lol...come on now, be honest.

What does his age have to do with every post you make to him? There is plenty of information out there to inform him, even if he hasn't paid for insurance. I pay over a thousand a month for insurance, let's use my amount to make your point.

Because he doesn't have a clue as to what he is talking about 99% of the time. I know he's your buddy because he agrees with everything you say...but....

Or better yet we could use the $25,000.00 a month in health insurance premiums and the $10,000.00 a month in workman's comp premiums a month that I pay to make a point. It's going to bankrupt this country. It has absolutely has to stop somewhere.

My idea is to get rid of the liberal lawyers (can you say Eric C. and Grover) and judges and do something about all of the frivolous and ridiculous lawsuits that plague industry and drive up medical and insurance costs in this country. But then again Obama is A liberal (socialist) lawyer and he does appoint liberal judges, so I doubt that that is going to happen during the term of this administration. It's like every problem that riddles this country. How about pinpointing the origin of problems and using common sense to correct them, instead of just raising the cost of everything along the way to just to satisfy a voting segment. How about fiscal responsiblity for a change. That is real HOPE for a CHANGE that could cure a lot of ills.

Disagreeing with you 99% of the time makes 99% correct all the time.

I wasn't twisting anything. Bad choice of words by her. She considers wealth by “How I measure riches,” Romney continued, “is by the friends I have and the loved ones I have and the people that I care about in my life, and that’s where my values are and that’s where my riches are.” But yet she said she doesn't consider he and Mitt to be wealthy. So either she doesn't think $200 million is wealthy or she has no family/friends or values. Either way I don't think her and Mitt are in touch with how America feels about anything.

That's for a business, let's just use our personal premiums for your example. You make money off of your employees. We have already discussed this when you were Kimball.

For the record, doctors and hospitals charging 4x the cost of expenses is what drives insurance up. Let's use the 12k Paul B. Hall charged my insurance for a colonoscopy for example. They ended up settling for 4K after my insurance fought them over the cost. 12K for a procedure that was over in 1 hour? They charged 280 bucks for a pint of water. You got to frigging kidding me.

What do you mean it's all for a business? It's all the same. You are making no sense whatsoever. Somebody has to pay for it and suffer the reality of never ending yearly explosions of costs. If I wasn't playing for it, more than likely the employee would be shelling it out themselves. You really dont have a clue as to the way things really work. I guess that's why you and WC got this buddy program thing going on. You're both just babes in the woods as far as knowing what really goes on.

Yes, that is part of the problem, there is greed in every segment but what you dont understand is the network between doctors/hospitals/lawyers/ and judges. If you have never been the subject of bogus and fraudulent workers comp claims, you have no idea what I am talking about. I could explain to you for eternity but you would be clueless unless you experienced a royal screwing over first hand. You're just naive enough to believe there is no interconnection between all the parties named and of the conspiracy network that exists against insurance companies.
Old School Wrote:And you think that Barry and Belle are?
We wasn't talking about them and to answer your question, I don't really know. I have never heard them say things about their wealth like the Romneys have though.

I don't think any of our current candidates are in touch with the majority of Americans.
History has shown that politicians always underestimate the cost of new entitlement programs in order to get them passed. Healthcare insurance premiums have already risen sharply since Obamacare passed and its main provisions have not even kicked in yet. There is no reason to believe that the cost of the law will not double several more times before its true cost will be known.

Romney can afford Obamacare but the rest of us cannot and Romney, along with the other Republican candidates, has promised to work for its repeal. That is the kind of change that this country needs. Obama has placed this country on the road to hyperinflation that may no longer be avoidable. Everybody should ask themselves if they really want somebody like Obama in office if a real crisis strikes this country. Giving Obama a second term would be like drinking shots of tequilla to cure a hangover.

This ObamaCare debacle will be the end of a lot of folks that worked very hard their whole lives to be able to retire. And I would add, they anticipated the cost of health care and are paying for it themselves. It's really tragically stupid. As I have mentioned before, liberals are elevating those who think they shouldn't have to work for what they have to elite status in our country, they get absolutely everything free. I worked for health care, but soon I won't have it, because I won't be able to afford it due to exponentially exploding premiums.

Those that don't contribute one thing to America are sent to the front of the line every time. College education----free, living expenses----free, health care----free. Guarantee you one thing, if they didn't get everything handed to them, especially the grand shopping tour through the grocery store every week, a job would suddenly become the most important thing in their life. Welfare used to be a little different. One had to go to the "Welfare Office Building" and stand in line to pick up something called commodities, that were handed out to applicants. Those commodities consisted of things like corn meal, flour, sugar, navy/pinto beans, canned pork, butter, 5 pound bricks of cheese, and powdered eggs. We want folks to be comfortable nowadays, they get a swipe card that looks like any ordinary credit card which, they just take to the super market. We've managed to turn welfare recipients into Alfred E. Newman, ask me if I care calendar boys.

Things that working folks knocked themselves out for back when working was in vogue. Are now GUARANTEED to the nonproductive among us, by the full force and good faith of the Federal Government of the United States of America, no less.

Well said, TRT. Obama and the socialist Democrats will do whatever it takes and they will take whatever they need from real working people to buy votes and hang on to power.

If promising the moocher class "free" contraception does not improve Obama's poll numbers, then I expect that he may up the ante by promising to forgive all or part of unemployed people's student debts. If the election can be bought through looting the productive members of society and running up the nation's credit card, Obama will do it. The best chance of stopping or slowing down the looters is the Supreme Court, which may still have five members who know right from wrong.

There were food stamps at the time of "commodity" give aways. They didn't have to stand in line to get their food, just the extra food that was given at those lines. The card wasn't meant to make welfare recipients comfortable, it was designed to cut down on selling the paper food stamps by some of the food stamp receivers.

Of course, many of the commodity recipients immediately "liquidated" their five pound boxes of cheese and other staples. If you ever witnessed the distribution of commodities, you would know that the lines were long. I had a friend who was a divorced alcoholic with five young children whom he didn't support. He got commodities. In fact, believe it or not, he received five, yes five, five pound boxes of cheese each month. He sold those boxes of cheese each month for enough to buy a few bottles of cheap wine. I feel sure that this is not an isolated example.
