Warren Central
The Dragons went 20-8 last year but lost five significant seniors from that team.
WCHS will rely heavily on Michael Bush, a junior infielder and pitcher, and Trevor Lowe, a senior center fielder and pitcher. Lowe signed with WKU in the fall.
“We’re going to be very, very young this year,” Warren Central coach Shane Humphrey said. “Our backups at each position have played little varsity time or they’re seventh- and eighth-graders. This season is going to be a learning experience, but hopefully these kids can mature and learn from example.
“We’re getting kids comfortable with this level of ball and trying to get everything in place for the district tournament.”
The Dragons start at 5 p.m. March 19 at Barren County.
