Can somebody tell me how the QB rating works?  I know that I didn't see Daniel Pugh on the list for A, but I realize many of his accomplishments came running the ball.  Is that taken into account at all?

No, the forumla is purely based on passing.  Running takes no account into the QB rating.  It's actually more technically defined as the "passer rating" because it can be applied to anyone who has thrown atleast one pass during the season.  Also, to even to be eligible, the player must be in to the top 15 of their class (A, AA, AAA, or AAAA) ranked by yards per game passing during the regular season (yeah I know that's silly, but it's the best way I can get a list without having to go through every team because that's how http://www.khsaa.org ranks them, plus you don't want to see someone on the list that went 3 of 4 for 100 yards and 2 TDs and 0 Ints on the list simply because of their lack of passing attempts).  The current 1A cutoff for YPG was 96.64 yards.  Pugh would have probably made the list if the KHSAA site had updated their numbers throughout the post season.

If anyone wants to know any numbers on a player that doesn't appear on the list just let me know and I'll provide their numbers and rating.

That would have placed him 7th in 1A.
