with the Tournament delayed for them till Wednesday they gat a couple of warm up games Saturday before they have to play, in the first game JC played Betsy Layne and JC won 56-29 and then played Northern Pulaski and JC defeated them 29-28, I was told that Northern Pulaski was ranked in the state. Two Good wins for John's Creek heading into the Pike County Tournament Wednesday.
Just want to add, this was not Betsy Layne's typical A team but mostly B team players. Only 1 of our 5 A team starters were there.
Betsy Layne may have not had all of their starters but I know they had a least one freshman (Daniels).
Either way it was two good wins for Johns Creek... Congrats to JC...
Northern Pulaski was also without their leading scorer because of injury and 3 other contributing 7th graders (competing in KBA state tourney). The team is normally 30-35 points better than they got to display in this tourney. Still great wins by John's Creek. Will you all be at KBA in the coming weeks?
