Bellarmine University, the defending NCAA Division II menâs basketball champion, returned to the top spot in the NABC/Division II poll released on Tuesday.
Bellarmine, which held the number one spot in November, returned to the top after posting three wins last week, including a victory over No. 9 Northern Kentucky. The Knights received all eight first-place votes.
Kentucky Wesleyan, which had held the top spot, fell to No. 7 after a pair of losses last week.
The Great Lakes Valley Conference has four teams in the top 10 and five in the top 25. In addition to Bellarmine and Kentucky Wesleyan, they are No. 8 Southern Indiana, No. 9 NKU and No. 21 Indianapolis.
