A three-year starter on the offensive line, Way became one of the best players in the talent-rich Northern Kentucky area.
CovCath coach Dave Wirth called the 6-foot-3, 275-pound Way âthe strongest kid to come through here in a while.â
âHeâs one of those kids thatâs incredibly thick and muscular for his age,â Wirth said. âHe looks like heâs already been in college for a few years, and heâs so darn athletic. He has great feet and that allows him to get in position to use his strength.â
Way is the son of Barry Way, a running back at Indiana in the mid-1980s, and is the first position player from CovCath to make the first team since 2004 (lineman Mike Donoghue).
Wirth said Way has offers from Wofford and Eastern Kentucky with others interested.
